The Pinyin in CUV-S seems to be quite professional, from what I have seen (i.e.: capitalization of proper name, accuracy of pronunciation, etc.).

I took the ePub out and opened it in Marvin to see what was going on, but it just looks like a very simple ePub just split into books and chapters.

If the Chinese was just put through a character to pinyin converter it couldn't come out this well, especially proper names.

Hi Mo - well that is a secret. It is being done by Equipd - it is not a function of the EPUB file itself.

Any chance it would contain any errors?

There is always a chance, but this functionality has been in wide usage for quite a while in a previous app. It has proven to be highly accurate so far. Any issues let me know and I am sure it can be tweaked.
