How to remove incompatible Bible file?

    I recently made the mistake of trying to import an incompatible Bible file. Now each time I open Equipd Bible a black bar appears with the message
    "Importing EPUB file: martin_luther_uebersetzung_1912.epub" and a spinning wheel.
    The message disappears after a few seconds, or when I tap it.
    Unfortunately, the same thing now happens when I try to open a Bible link from another app, and the link will no longer open.
    Is there a way to remove the offending epub file, or another solution? As a last resort, I might delete the app and reinstall everything from scratch.
    (iPad, iOS 9.3.2)

    @ManfredK try what @Gabriel suggested and let us know how you get on. Make sure you force close the app before toggling the option in iOS Settings.
