    Hello,

I am having an issue trying to put the latest NWT into this new app.
It tells me that the app is recognising it, but then I can't find it in the app.
    Any advise?

Can you give some more detail of what you did to import it and what it says in Bible settings?

Hi Lee. I am really not sure what is happening there. Maybe explain the exact steps you took to download and install the Bible, and what messages came up on screen? And if you go into the Bible Settings using the toolbar button top/left - do you see the new Bible listed there?

Also maybe look at the tutorial on AppChasers about how to load Bibles just to check you are following the same steps:

    Thanks for your replies,

So I am opening jw.org in Safari using my iPad and going to Publications, Bible.

I need the English version and the Chinese Simplified version also.

So, I open the English bible page and click on the icon to download and press ePub. The blue line moves from left to right for maybe 1 or 2 seconds and then disappears. I wait for 5 minutes and nothing happens.
Then I think to try and see if the Chinese version will load, so I press in the language box and type in Chinese, and press search.
The screen then changes to show that the English version is ready to upload, I press "Open with" but nothing happens. I can only press to go backwards, or refresh the page. when I do either I loose the option to open the ePub and it takes me back to the beginning.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

So basically Safari or JW.org is playing up as it is trying to download the EPUB file. You are not actually getting to the point where you can "Open in..." the Equipd Bible app.

My only suggestion at this point is to restart your device. Then open Safari and try the same steps again - but walk away and see if the advent of 10 minutes makes a difference. Anyone else seen this behaviour before?

Otherwise if you have a desktop with iTunes on it, the app does support File Sharing via iTunes. This means you can download the EPUB files on your desktop, and then using iTunes copy the files across to the Equipd Bible app. Then the next time you close/open the app it will detect the EPUB files and try to import them.

If you are not sure how to use File Sharing via iTunes then maybe refer to this document from Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201301

Hope one of those suggestions helps...

Another suer suggested switching to the Chrome browser app to download files - might be worth a try if you are still having issues.

    Any update on this Lee?

If you're still having problems check your Restriction settings (Settings/General/Restrictions) for Allowed Content: check the settings for Books and Websites.

A quick way to check is to turn Restrictions off, then see if the ePub's will load. If they do, you need to modify your restrictions. If they still don't load, the problem is somewhere else.

Don't forget to turn Restrictions back on.

Let us know how things turn out as it could help someone who reads this in the future. :)
